What is a Yard Card?
Options & Custom Orders
A GrassyGram Yard Card is a meaningful message that you place an order for on our "Book Now" page. This message to your loved one is most often displayed on the lawn of your special someone, or as an indoor message of a business or school if you prefer. We will come set it up the day of your order, or the night before. It is the perfect way to show someone special in your life how much you care for them!
A GrassyGram Yard Card can be ordered for so many different occasions.... Happy Birthday, Happy Anniversary, Graduation Congratulations, Welcome Home, New Baby Congratulations, Welcome Students Back to School, Open Houses, Holidays, or any Custom Event you have coming up...such as Happy Nurses Week, New Business Spotlight, Cinco de Mayo, Happy Teacher's Week, Happy Mother's or Father's Day,
Shark Week, Happy Star Wars Day, Church VBS Week, National Donut Day, and the list goes on.

What is a Yard Card Made of and are they Weather Proof?
Material & Weather
GrassyGram Yard Cards are made of resilient and weather durable corrugated plastic. The bright and beautiful images are printed directly to the plastic, creating a waterproof and weather resistant material.
So "What happens if it rains?" Great news, our yard cards are rain and thunderstorm proof! However...they are not Alabama tornado proof! If you see James Spann's weather announcements coming across your social media feed, or on your television broadcasting severe weather alerts for our area, then we most likely will not be out to set up or pick up until after the safety threats have passed.
We of course will make every effort possible to set up for your special day, but the safety of our family and employees comes first.
In the event of severe weather, tornadoes, or tropical storms impacting our area, we will need to move your booking to another day, delay set up until the storms have passed, or cancel the booking.
* A weather related cancellation will not be billed the regular cancellation fee.
* Our GrassyGram staff reserves the right to reschedule, cancel or remove the signs early for everyone's safety.
Do I Need To Do Anything Before You Arrive To Set-Up?
Yard Preparation
- YES!! Please, Oh Please WATER Your Lawn for several hours before we arrive to set up!!
This is THE MOST critical step to ensuring that we can set up your GrassyGram!!
Even if the weather forecast shows that we may have rain, we know that isn't always the case, so please water anyway!
If your yard is not watered sufficiently, we will not be able to get our stakes into the ground. Bottom Line...you will unfortunately not get the beautiful display you are hoping for if the ground is not stakeable!
*If we arrive to set up and the lawn is extremely hard and completely unstakeable, no refund will be issued. It takes several hours to prepare your sign, stake it, load it up, gas to drive to your location, and time away from our family. You can request to reschedule your GrassyGram after you have agreed to water your lawn sufficiently. A $30 travel fee will be included for multiple attempts to set up.
Most of our displays require at least 15-25 feet in length, so please make sure your sprinkler or sprinkler system is rotating at least that length in the location you would like your GrassyGram set up. This location tends to be the center point in front of your home. If you would like your GrassyGram in a certain spot, please water that area and send us a picture of that location to
256-808-6951.
2. Please make sure your yard is mowed and doggy doody is picked up before we arrive. Long, itchy grass and doody on the lawn is not ideal for set up.
3. Please leave the porch light or driveway light on for us, especially if your yard is exceptionally dark at night!

What time will my Yard Card order be set up?
Delivery, Set Up & Removal
GrassyGram Yard Cards will either be set up the night before, or early morning on the day of the selected booking. Specifically, after 6 pm the night before and up to 10 am the day of your booking.
This will vary daily based on delivery addresses and our schedule. Exact setup and pickup times are subject to availability and at the discretion of GrassyGram.
- If delivery needs a more specific time due to being an early morning surprise, or a welcome home surprise, we are happy to accommodate, please call us at 256-808-6951 to let us know!
- We reserve Sundays as a family day, so if you need a Sunday booking request, we will be happy to set up the day before on Saturday. Weekend Pick-ups will either be Sunday evening or early Monday morning.
Our GrassyGram staff will pick up the sign 24 hours after it has been delivered, unless additional days have been booked.
We carefully take down our signs leaving your lawn like the sign was never there. We take pride in preserving your lawn and not causing any damage or leaving anything behind.
Can I Order a GrassyGram if my Zip Code is not listed on your Delivery Areas?
Core & Extended Delivery Fees Based on Zip Codes
Our Free Core Delivery Area includes the following zip codes: 35801, 35802, 35803, 35805, 35763, 35754
Our Extended Delivery Area (additional $30 travel fee) includes the Following Zip Codes: 35811, 35749, 35758, 35761
*You must select "Extended Delivery Area" when booking your GrassyGram appointment type on the "Book Now" page.
If you would like to schedule a GrassyGram greeting with us, but you are not located in the above list of Core or Extended Zip Codes listed above, please call us directly at 256-808-6951 to see if we can assist you.
If we can accommodate your request, a travel fee starting at $30 will be added to your total, depending on how many miles will be required to travel for delivery and pick up.
Can I Move the GrassyGram Yard Display to a different Location or Help you Take them Down?
Placement
Pretty Please Do Not Move Our Signs For Any Reason!
If it is necessary to have the signs removed for any reason, please call us at 256-808-6951 and we will move it for you. If for some reason you need or want to have the signs picked up early, please call us and we will come out as quickly as possible to remove them.
*Placement of individual letters and signs is at the discretion of GrassyGram staff members. Once placed, repositioning or removal of letters is prohibited.
*Trying to remove the signs on your own may result in damaged, scratched or bent signs. Unfortunately, if this occurs, a fee of $20 per damaged piece will be charged to your card on file.
Cancellations
A Cancellation fee of 50% will apply to any order canceled within 48 hours before the installation date.
* This is due to the amount of time it takes to get your personalized yard card selected, staked, packed up and ready to assemble. Each step takes time to get ready specifically for you and also takes time away from our family activities.
*There will be no cancellation fee if the yard card needs to be rescheduled for a different date.
